A Christmas post, by TBSITW

Many thanks to those who have been in contact and who are remembering Elaine at this time of year.

Your comments to the last posting, as well as some emails have been very much appreciated by me and the rest of the family.

I visited Elaine's blog today to do exactly what you mention: remember Elaine at this time of the year.

So thank you for your Christmas post. I miss reading Elaine's words but it warms my heart to know that her words can still be read through your words, TBSITW.

My thoughts are with you and your family. I wish you a peaceful holiday season and all of the very best for the new year.

Hi Enid, also known as TBSITW (and that acronym must make you smiley and teary all at once these days),

I still have Elaine's blog listed on my bloglines, so I saw when this new post popped up. I guess it seemed too final to 'unsubscribe' from her blog.

Though I know you must have missed Elaine terribly, I hope you managed to have some happy times this Christmas. All the best to you and your family.

I visit from time to time, to remember the kindness and friendship that Elaine gave to so many. Today I saw this post on my blogroll and came over once again.

Out of sight - maybe. But not out of mind. Not likely!!
Maybe we oughta start a 'Friends of Elaine' movement, eh?

My heart raced when I saw there was another post here.

I think about Elaine and it's not often that I don't have a few tears run down my face at the same time. She was an exceptional and lovely woman.

Thank you for posting again, I know how difficult it must be for you. With much love & many thoughts.

TLM (The Little Medic, as Elaine knew him, now a flourishing doctor) & missbliss (Elaine told me I stole her queen of casseroles title, & I will remember and dispute that forever), due to be married soon.

I was missing Elaine today (for no particular reason) and thought I'd glance through the blog. How very nice to see a post from TBSITW. I hope that Elanie's family had lovely holidays and will enjoy 2010.

All best, Pat in Phoenix

Like Pat of Phoenix above, I came remembering Elaine for no particular reason except that she was such a good friend. I miss her friendship, her encouragement, her humour. Everything really.

Ah, I've been reading this blog for a while when I neglect to look on this blog for several months or a year, I guess, and when I came back I found out that Elaine is no longer alive. How sad. I remember her posts are so inspiring and entertaining. Her posts will always be a good memory, eh.

May she rest in peace,

I'm here on one of my infrequent visits to remember Elaine. It's particularly poignant this time as I lost my husband just two months ago - he was only 65.
