I will be thinking of you, her family, and of Elaine next week.. She is missed by me, so it must be much worse for you. Thank you for taking the time to keep us informed.
I just don't feel I said enough about Elaine when I posted my last comment. Yes I and many others will miss her terribly, although I have only known her for a short time, I feel I have known her for years. What a lovely lady and a great sense of humour. Thinking of you at this time, and yes, I will light a candle and remember her with a great warmth.
Thank you for letting us know. I feel quite bereft even though I never met Elaine. I admired her courage and valour and her ever present sense of humour. Will miss being part of her life.
So sorry to read that Elaine has passed away. To her family my deepest regret.
I just had a look into this blog after a long time today, we had some correspondence on bridge, which she loved very much, I think. I enjoyed very much posting to her and am so sorry, that this will not be possible any more.
I would like to echo everything everyone has said, and to add that some readers of my blog, who have known Elaine indirectly through me, have asked me to pass on their sincere condolences.
Rest in Peace Elaine... i lost track of your e-address and i found it this early morning and saddened that you are gone.i believe you led me check on your blog...i will miss your humor and insights... candylo
I am so sorry to say that I only found Elaine's blog after she passed. I have read the whole lot and was inspired by this lovely lady, and her quiet sense of self, and peace. Tonight I made the spinach and potato soup recipe she posted with the ingredients from my food box and it was beautiful. It will live on in my recipe file forever and I'm so grateful to have found this site.
I am so sorry that you have lost your lovely sister Elaine.
I have been away from blogging for awhile, and got an awful shock to read these most recent posts. Elaine seemed to me to be a classy, funny and brave lady and I very much enjoyed interacting with her through blogging.
Very warm wishes to you, and my condolences again,
For once - I just can't find the words to say. Elaine once said that I always have 'le bon mot'!!! If that means what I think it does - then I ain't, Elaine. Not this time. Knowing Elaine thro' her blog has made my life that bit richer. Truly. Thanks, Elaine and - see yer, gal. XX Dickie.
OMG. ..I am so very sorry to hear about Elaine. She was just a lovely woman. AWwww....I will light a candle and say a rosary for her. I am so sorry Enid.
Writing (a little late) and hoping that TBSITW and family were able to quietly and joyfully celebrate the anniversary of Elanie's birth on the 1st of July. I miss her, and can only imagine how much you do too.
Ms. Elaine, Rest in Peace. I too believe you led me here to your blog to say goodbye. I had not been following your blog for a while and am sad to hear of your passing. Thank you for sharing your life with us via the internet. Thuha
Enid, Elaine is still very much in my mind and I was wondering how the family was getting on without this truly wonderful lady who had a lovely sense of humour even in the face of adversity. Hopefully she knows that a lot of her blogging friends miss her dreadfully, xx
Copied here from Dickiebo's blog, just in case you don't pop back and read it.
If you are able to, I would like to know how you are all getting on, as Elaine meant a lot to me personally, she was always making a comment (or two) and making me laugh.
Even though I didn't meet her in person, she felt like a part of my family.

Thank you, Pat, for still visiting this blog, remembering the date that would have been Elaine's birthday, and leaving such a kind message.
