Today dearest daughter came over and walked me to the dental hygienist, and walked me home afterwards. This was a big achievement as I had never walked that far up the hill before. She pointed out two other dropped edges giving a way to avoid that rather nasty crossing.
We then went out for a walk together, me in Scoot, she on foot. It is really quite easy to match her walking pace. Because she can walk beside me, we can have a grand blether.
She was looking for new jeans, so we went to Marks and Spencer, of course I had a look too and wondered if I would fit into a size 18 now that I have lost some weight, so I took a pair of size 18 (turn away, all you skinny folk) and tried them on. Lo and behold, they fastened. DD came and looked and we both agreed it would be worthwhile trying a size 16 . I tried a 16 long and they fitted - A MARVEL!, but sadly they had no 16 short, but I was able to order them - in Tuesday. You will appreciate what a miracle this is as I have been wearing elastic waisted pull-ons for quite some time now.
Younger son has been unwell again. It is always a worry as he is living with only 1 donated kidney. After a week of feeling most unwell, he is now on the mend.
