All that high finance stuff......

I have just received a letter from the NHS Business Services Authority.

There may be a problem with my pension.

I have a NHS pension and the state Old Age Pension and they are now saying that I may have been overpaid.

wtf? (=what on earth?)

After my pulse rate settled a little, I read on to discover that, if I have been overpaid, I will not be required to repay any overpaid amount, but it will be corrected from April 2009 at the same time as I receive any pension increase for 2009.

Aye, right.

What pension increase would that be?

The only good thing is that I do not receive a large pension, not by any manner of means, and so the excess overpaid should not be too much, except that I have been retired for 12 years now.....

These grand financial affairs hit the little man too.

I have read the 2 page letter twice and don't understand how or why this has happened. At least I shall not have to repay any overpayment. You would think that the overpayment was my fault when they make this gracious statement.
