You Remember That Stepper (part 2)

umm...

.... not quite sure how to put this...

When we oiled the 'fan belt' and moved the 'feet' by hand, it turned out that the feet didn't go up and down...

but up - to the side and down - to the side

thus giving a very good hip swinging exercise.

However, when you reach my age and have a balance problem, this is not a good idea.

So, this morning I phoned the company and they are sending another one which does just go up and down, and, what's more, taking this one back.

The correct one should be here tomorrow.

After all yesterday's hard work I felt like an easy meal, so I made some mince (see my recipe blog)

Recipe Blog

Thanks to missbliss for leading me astray with her wonderful recipe blog which she keeps separate from her main blog, I have decided to do the same. It is going to take a while to find all the recipes I already posted, quite some time to go back and put them on to the food blog, but I shall get there. There is a link on the right hand side of the screen, but my recipe blog is here.

Apart from that, yesterday was bridge again, and another new partner. We played well together, but hardly had any points in our hands all afternoon. At the end our leader told us she had set up some hands so there should have been some slams in there.

Hah!

All we can hope for is having our opponents miss their slams.

Came back to a cup of tea at which one of the Scrabble group produced a chocolate cake. Bet it wasn't as good as missbliss's!

After that finished cooking cottage pie, ate half and left rest for tonight.

This morning went into the shower and put my hand out to test the water.

And it was cold.

Quick wash only today. Once again one of the green lights was out on the boiler, so I pressed the reset button and the second one came on. I put on the switch to get some hot water for dishes, etc as otherwise it would not start heating until tonight (it is off peak).
