Taking it Easy

It has been a very lazy day today - I even peeled the potatoes yesterday and left them under water in the fridge for tonight. With them I shall have Ox tongue from the good butcher between TBSITW and me me which she brought round yesterday. I also have some lovely fresh, organic purple sprouting broccoli.

My new USB cable for the printer came today. It is black, so all the office is black (apart from the connection to the 4-way USB hub.

So the study half of my bedroom is all smart black!

I was struggling to reach the curtains over the desk as it is set so far away from the window because it is too wide. I have decided just to leave them closed until I get my new desk.

I miss being able to keep an eye on all that is going on.

See men who think that women are always wrong!!!!!!!!

I am still wobbly on my legs and use my stick all the time. I also use the trolley to carry my food or liquids.

Your curtains have always been awkward to pull because of a desk in front of the window. You can get a kind of long stick that hooks onto the leading curtain hook, and that is used to pull the curtain along (it's usually used for velvet curtains to avoid fingerprints). Might that be an idea for you, even with the smaller desk?

Elaine,

That long stick with the hook on it comes in handy when you have bridge partners who get out of hand.

I fully endorse the immediate acquisition of one of these tools.

Heck, you could even keep stray dogs away from your door, pick up items from behind the refrigerator, or scratch an itch you can't quite reach.

Darn, now I want one!
