Well, just in case she turned up, I was ready to leave. But I didn't really believe she would come and I kept expecting a phone call.
So, I sat in the residents lounge and watched the door for her car.
Then back to the flat to check my phone.
At the last minute her car appeared, being driven cautiously. So, off we went and played bridge watching through the big windows as the snow became very heavy then eased up then very heavy again. To make matters worse, we did not get good hands and so I really wondered if it were worth the effort for her.
I got a lift home from another pair to let her get on her way more quickly.

Wasn't the snow awful?
It's not so bad today (tuesday)but they reckon we will have some more tomorrow.
I do drive to work but it's only a couple of miles so it's not too bad, thank god.
Snow is lovely to look at but not so lovely when driving in it!
