Pumpkin

I didn’t do much yesterday, other than the usual boring washing.

I promised a pumpkin recipe once I had tried it out, but then saw it was a serve 6 so instead I gave the pumpkin to the house manager here (she does such a wonderful job) for her grandchildren’s Halloween.

However I shall post it to my recipes blog and will be pleased to hear of any reports.

I am working hard at a Wasgij jigsaw and am finding it rather difficult. Because I have been reading so much recently, the jigsaw has rather been put to one side. I have now taken it up again and made one or two small breakthroughs.

OK I give in... what is a wasgij jigsaw other than it being spelt backwards I haven't found out what it is yet..

A wasgij is great fun. The puzzle picture is not the picture on the box, that is just a clue. It is usually what some one or something in the picture sees if that makes any sense.)

S'funny how bad experiences stick in one's mind! I once tried to do an impossible jigsaw (Impossible? Yes. If I say so!)back in about 1940-something and because of that humbling, upsetting experience, I have never tried to do one since! All far too clever for moi!

Have you tried the baked beans or the smarties jig saws yet?

I think I would feel very unwell after the bean one (I HATE) beans.. and very much in need of Smarties after the other one!!

Yes, I have tried a smarties on, but only a very small one. I think the best part of a jigsaw is watching the picture grow.
