Last week, on Thursday I fell again, sideways, taking the laundry bin down with me. It is amazing how fragile these things are when squeezed. I got up myself successfully, and suffered only a bruise to a knee. The laundry bin came off worse. It is amazing how fragile these seemingly solid bins are if pressed on at the sides.... I could not correct it enough for the lid to come to a close enough fit, so had to order a new one.
When I reached elder son's house on Sunday he noticed that the housing of the wing mirror was cracked. He held it together as well as possible, and the mirror certainly still worked. I telephoned the Insurance company used by Motability and have been given an address for a repair place.
I was told I had a £75 excess to pay.
Anyway, the repair company phoned yesterday evening and asked me to take the car in for an estimate on Monday.
My mobile now cannot be charged as the "poker jabber thingy" that goes into the phone has got bent so out of alignment that the connection has been lost. I can't do without that, so that is another purchase.
The good news is that my wonderful cleaners came this morning, so everything is sparkling.
And now my new laundry bin has arrived.

These laundry bins are treacherous things.Hope your knee is better and you don't feel too shaky.
