The Peacock

Sorry don't know how to find and post pictures on this blog, so you will just have to visualise this beautiful peacock who came to visit on several occasions this year. Poor soul, I think he is desperate to find a mate but the owners haven't purchased one for him and there are no others near by.

However you can see the picture of me attached to this blog, and you may note the plant pots in the foreground. Most of them contain herbs. Mr Peacock decided he liked parsley and over the course of two or three days completely demolished both the curly and the flat leaf parsley plants. He even pushed aside the pot with the thyme to get at them! Mind you he was so beautiful that I have to confess that I just sat and watched him. He has now left me a present in return, one of his tail feathers, bless him. Fair exchange.

As you can see, I have now cracked this business of pictures, and this one is very like my visitor, although I didn't see such a wonderful display as he was carrying his tail semi-spread behind him.
