After my wonderful cleaners left the flat sparkling (pun here for the cognoscenti), best brother visited for tea and biccies.
We had said tea and biccies , as are always requested.
The library exchange was carried out. His wife and I swop books, either to read and return or to read and pass to charity shop.
I then produced a newspaper article to show him granddaughter with her large cup for piano playing. He sent congratulations to her.
He brought out a bundle of photographs, 4 of which had just arrived this morning from the USA where his daughter and grandson live. 2 showed grandson playing baseball (wonder how long those white trousers will stay white!) and 2 were photographs. He is 8 years old and looks so poised he looks much older by British standards. I think it is an American thing.
Other photographs showed his 4-year-old granddaughter in her birthday party dress and another showed his youngest grandson now 8 months old.
We had a good blether, catching up with all the news. He is going to be away for a while now, so glad he had the opportunity to visit before he left.
