This morning TBSITW collected me to take me to the District General Hospital to see the consultant neurologist. It was a very good, productive consultation.
We then went on for her to do a little shopping at Homebase, but later frustrated at the animal feed place as it didn't open till ten.
Back to the ranch for a cup of tea then off to the surgery for a repeat blood test. The nursing sister did a good job of accessing a vein.
Home again where I was dropped off in time for lunch.
This afternoon the motability scooter man called and identified a scooter to fit my small space. He did all the paperwork and will return with one to try on Friday. He does all the contact work with Motability, so I just have to wait. Lead time about 10 days!
I phoned Bethany Trust and they are delighted to uplift my chest of drawers and computer desk. They too are coming on Friday......
After all this I had a cup of tea with the Scrabble players.

Well organised, that woman!
I do hope you enjoy the scooter. My mother's scooter gave her a lot of pleasure - especially when I escorted her on her first trip and she had me puffing along behind - a bit like when she took me out on my first 2-wheel bicycle and let me cycle on my own when she realised I'd got it sussed, even though I didn't realise it myself. I teased her as we went round M&S - tellng her she had been within a hair's breadth of knocking over a display stand of oranges - and had a real laugh. I am sure you're going to have a good time too.
When she first got it she was a bit nervous about using it and it sat unused for a couple of weeks. That's when I suggested the escorted tour. It did prove quite helpful in that I was able to help her work out where the sloping curves were, how best to negotiate street trees and, as luck would have it, what to do about wheelie bins and newspaper recycling bins - we would, of course, choose the day when they were all out on the pavement!
Just one word of warning - my brother finds it such fun to ride that he uses any excuse to visit and take it for a spin! I think he'd like one for himself but won't quite admit it.
