Friday The Thirteenth

This morning the men from Bethany Trust were supposed to come and collect my old computer desk and a chest of drawers, but the time went on and they did not arrive. In the end I phoned the Trust to be told that my address was still on their list, and they would be here.

Fine, I wasn't going anywhere.

Meantime the man with the electric scooter arrived.

There was no way it would fit in where the filing cabinet currently is.

However, like the song says "I'm reviewing the situation"... then "I think I'll go and think it out again"

I had been rather afraid of this, and thought of an alternative which was to move the living room furniture round a bit, and we tried that and it will work, although he recommended a piece of carpet protector sheeting for underneath.

So, off I went for a test drive. I am a bit nervous, but managed it fine - even cheekily asking to stop at the bakery for some rolls.

TBSITW was worried that it might run away with me coming down the steep hill, but it can't, a bit like a car in gear.

It was so nice to get out in the sunshine.

I am still waiting for my gp to call re my blood results....

Just when I was about to give up waiting for a telephone call from my gp, there was a ring at the door and it was one of the partners in person.

He made a thorough job of reviewing the blood results with me, which I much appreciated.

You should see the ramshackle set-up I have for the laptop and so on.

The laptop is on the largest of a nest of tables and the mouse is on the smallest.

The modem, usb adaptor and so on are on the trolley from OT department - not provided for this purpose.....
