Today I went for my third bridge session. This time, instead of playing with one of the leaders of the club (who had taken me under her wing) I was let loose on a proper bridge partner, who has graduated to playing on the competitive Monday nights. I confess to facing this with some trepidation. He is a really nice guy and kept telling me to relax and enjoy it and not to worry, as I kept making mistakes; some of these were just learning issues (and once I caught him out in return!) However, on one occasion I had got my knickers in such a twist that I could not even remember which suit was trumps!!!!!
Anyway, I really enjoyed the afternoon, although I know our partnership has not done very well, at least we were not bottom scorers on some of the boards, Now I have a book away - that's my "homework"!
Quiet evening now.

Have you considered trying online poker? ( Texas Holdem) It's very easy to learn, but very hard to master and you can begin by using play money on most sites.
Just a thought :-)
Thanks, but no thanks. Bridge is wonderful and I don't like any other card games. Also don't like playing for money (can't afford to lose!)
