Before anyone says "time to rush her off to a maximum security twilight home (with acknowledgements to Dame Edna Everidge), I think I have the solution to the previous post.
I suffer from nocturia:
a) too much information
b) suffer is the wrong word as it causes me no suffering apart from seeking an en suite hotel room.
However I think it was my bladder that roused me last night, but not sufficiently to override the side effect of drowsiness, due to amitriptylene 20 mg prescribed for the pain caused by peripheral vascular disease.
Hence the functioning on auto pilot.
Oh dear....

Oops, indeed!! Think solution could be to take a peek out window - at this time of year if it is still dark you need to go back to bed!
We were all sleepy heads ourselves today - wakened by phone at 11am!!!
Oh no, not up and dressed in the middle of the night again!! I agree with Daughter's comments. If it's dark, it's too early to get up. I have a little dog who sings in the morning if I sleep in much past daylight. "Singing" is too good a word. Shrieking may be better. 7.15 on a Sunday morning is TOO EARLY. But that's what it was.

Yes, oof course you sre both correct. However, right beside my bed is a clock which shows the time in large friendly letters, and has a spot which differentiates am from pm (absent for am and present for pm), so really it would be simpler to check the clock!
