Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow....

Today I woke up to the first snow of the year, although it is starting to look less pretty now with all the car tracks.

Yesterday I took down all my Christmas cards and matched them against my list of cards sent before shredding the odd one or two with addresses on them before disposing of the rest in the paper recycling bin.

After this I got a bit antsy about my Christmas decorations and so I used my long pole to fish out all the boxes and bags from the cupboard and took them through to the living room.

Then I started packing away some of the easier things; I have an old biscuit tin which I use for smaller things and this sits inside a supermarket box. Between the two I can put away much of the decorations and many more have their own boxes. Other things I wrapped in bubble wrap or tissue paper and, for things like tinsel I used polythene freezer bags.

Just as I was well on the way to “calling it a day” I managed to trip over my two feet and down I went once more.

I tried every which way to get up again and eventually managed. Phew!

To TBSITW: please don’t give me a row, it is not necessary – I can hear it from here.

Up this morning after another disturbed night and finished off packing away all the decorations as far as everything is boxed or bagged. I truly, truly will not put any of it away in the cupboard.

DON'T even attempt it (putting them in the cupboard).

From one Elaine to another, hello! I've been reading through your archives and will undoubtedly stay and read some more. I'm gripped already.

Please don't put anything away - I will be happy to do that for you on Wednesday (if you can wait that long!)

They've predicted some snow for us tonight. The locals are quite excited but I can't think why - we've had snow each year for the last three. Every time they all emerge with cameras to record it all.

Very few Christmas decorations this year, but I don't take them down until 6 January. My grandmother was quite strict about the 12 days of Christmas and I can't shake it off!

Hi there I followed a link from somewhere and found myself here!

I hope you didn't hurt yourself when you tripped?

It's a big job putting away the tree and decs I certainly couldn't do it on my own!

This is my first visit to your blog.

Be careful! Those darn Christmas boxes, artificial tree limbs, electrical cords can do a lot of damage.

I'm in northern CA and although we don't really have snow, I can see Mt Diablo from upstairs in our home and just before Christmas its cap was white! I called my daughter ready to take the grand kids sledding, but by the time we figured out a date that would work, the snow melted!

I'm also very worried about putting the Christmas tree, and decorations back up into the loft. I just don't know how B does it! I worry myself sick! Hmmmm.
