Thanks to all who sent their best wishes to Elaine.
After what seemed like a very long, and uncertain, wait today, Elaine was allowed home this evening. I took her home about 9.30pm and have left her tucked up in bed. The doctors and nurses were all wonderful, but no matter how nice they may be, there is no place like home.
The next blog report should be from the lady herself. It's been nice talking to you all! Goodnight.

hurrah! Glad you are home and hopefully feeling much better!
Fondly, Pat your Phoenix reader
Elaine,
Glad to hear you are home! Now get blogging - we want to hear all about it!
Hi Elaine, I hope by the time you read this you are feeling stronger and getting back to your usual routine.
However, I would like to address all the rumours that are abounding. First there was the eloping rumour about you and your 'gentleman friend', and now here's something about a paramedic. But I don't believe a word of that. I'm thinking you faked your fall so someone else would have to do the dishes. Am I right, am I right?
All silliness aside, take care. We look forward to hearing from you in person (and many thanks to your lovely sister for keeping us all 'in the loop').
Welcome back Elaine, hope you are feeling a lot better now you are back in your own home. Best Wishes
SOH & Sage
welcome back mum xxx
I'm late reading about your hospital adventure, but I am glad that you are now back home and (I hope) 100% on the mend.
