Well I set my alarm this morning to be up in time to phone for an appointment and got one for 9.40. Decided to drive (another little piece of Scottish meanness), so started off, then had a seat in the lounge just inside the front door, then made it to the car. Driving was fine. Bit difficult waiting at the reception queue, but there was at least something to lean on. When I got called to Surgery 9, it took me so long that the doctor came out to see if I was coming!
Anyway, a good thorough check-up and I have a chest infection, which may be at the bottom of it. Nonetheless, glad I drove, because she was thinking of admitting me to the near by District General Hospital for a number of checks. (Close escape!!) Interestingly she noted a number of bruises when she examined me (which I was sure I would have, but you are never quite sure if the fall (s) were bad enough to cause bruising).
Anyway I gor a prescription for an antibiotic and sent round to see the phlebotomist to have blood taken for a full blood count (FBC in the UK, CBC in the US) and then tottered back home. Feel felled.
