Every picture tells a story, and if you had seen what my duvet looked like when I got up, you would seen that I had a restless night.
However things got better when the best sister in the world and le chef came to take me to the Farmers' market.
So, I bought a salmon steak (this salmon is seriously good) for my dinner tonight, a pack of pork sausages and some bacon bits (from a seriously good piggery - certainly famous around central Scotland), a pack of chicken drumsticks and chicken livers from a local farm, they are all free range, corn fed chickens, a pack of cheese scones* and a serves one quiche Lorraine, Isle of Arran cheddar and brie which I shall be interested to try and some parsley to round it off.
I don't know how I resisted some smoked trout - they were being smoked at the market and the smell wafted all around.
We were really lucky today as the sun is shining.
TBSITW noticed that I had lost the back of an earring, so she took the front part off for me. When I got home I found a back that would do, but, with shaky hands, could not manage to fit it on to the back of the earring. Additionally, I managed to knock the lid of the box which holds earring backs onto the floor under the tallboy
If you remember Watergate affair and the tapes of President Dixon when in office, an appropriate comment here would be (expletive deleted)
* I had the cheese scones with my morning cup of tea on my return home. My excuse is that I didn't have breakfast.
While eating I felt the telltale signs of an impending cold sore on my bottom lip.
So, now I have put the sausages into the freezer split into 3 bags of 3, also the chicken and the chicken livers.
Everything else is in the fridge and I feel somewhat full.

I'll come and rescue your earring backs & bits at my next visit - please don't go down to get them yourself!
Much thanks. I was not planning on doing any more, though it was so tempting to try and get the lid of the box back!
That was my plan here: to get up bright and early and head to the farmers market but unfortunately I slept a little too long and so hopefully next weekend I'll finally make a trip as I keep hearing lots of good things about the products!
Izzy is lucky. Our farmer's market is only once a month. But it's worth the wait - and we couldn't afford it every week!
