All right, so I keep going on about how much I hate doing my laundry, but I had almost forgotten that there is another job that I hate even more, partly because it is physically difficult for me, and also because it takes too long to ask my cleaners to do as they are here for only an hour.
Unfortunately an emergency situation arose because I must have failed to shut one of the drawers properly and thus the door of the freezer did not shut properly. It also needed sorted out prior to my visit to the Farmers' Market tomorrow.
Most of the job just involved bending rather a lot (this is something I can't do well - and if anyone suggests this is because a large stomach gets in the way, they are dead meat - because I get breathless. The worst part of the job came when I had to get down on my hands and knees to dry out the bottom of the freezer, because after that I had to crawl all the way through to the bedroom to push and pull myself up to stand.
Still, it is now done and the freezer is refilled and my list of the contents of each drawer has been updated.
I did contemplate getting a frost free freezer but I already have a frost free fridge and I need to be able to have ice!

Sympathy and understanding. I put a bottle of wine into the kitchen freezer ice compartment to cool quickly then forgot about it. Wine freezes and pops its cork, you know. The result was the freezer door was ajar overnight. I am now the proud owner of a THIRD freezer, as I had to decant the things into it to defrost & dry out the kitchen freezer and had no space anywhere else! :-)) S

Snigger (and sympathy, particularly from my sore knees). You are lucky to have a third freezer - I only have a giant sized "space insulated" picnic bag (which would be far too heavy to take on any picnic, but which nicely holds the contents of my freezer while I defrost it.
I have one word of advice for you: Motrin.
I feel your pain.

thank you for your sympathy and advice. I am amazed and delighted to welcome you to my blog; I love yours. Unfortunately I don't know Motrin - we have different names for drugs on this side of the Atlantic, but much better today, just a bit stiff (and sore knees!)
I have one tiny little freezer compartment in the fridge - I'd love a freezer let alone three!!
To missbliss, sympathy. It took me many years to get a freezer.
