Romeo and Juliet...

... The Musical.

Yesterday I went to visit daughter because eldest grandson was playing a part in the above musical.

We started with a scrummy dinner prepared by M; it consisted of marinaded chicken thighs and spare ribs, done in the oven served with a delicious side salad and crispy French bread and butter. (Why is it that I can never eat watercress gracefully?)

Then on we went to the High School. Grandson was playing Montague and The Apothecary; the musical was a great success with encores for the Nurse's solo and several others. Romeo and Juliet were both suitably ethereal as a contrast to the energy portrayed by most of the rest of the cast. At the end the cast were called back for their "curtain call", which was well choreographed. The chorus were excellent too - and I was so proud of grandson. After the curtain call they had to do another reprise of the dance sequence.

Behind us were many of their fellow school pupils - raging hormones!

Home to daughter's, then quickly off to bed and away early this morning.

Hi Elaine

Sounds like you are having a busy time of it this week.

Well done to Grandson on his success in R&J.

My only attempt at acting was as the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz. Never again, took me days to get the silver face paint off!
