A Hot Date?

As well publicised here, I was taken out for dinner by a gentleman friend yesterday evening. He is younger than me, although not by much - does he then count as a toy boy?

He arrived carrying two intriguing boxes and told me that one of them contained a small gift for TBSITW - I shall take them with me when I go there for Christmas.

We had our meal at a near by hotel/restaurant; I had a meat and puy lentil terrine (I can't remember which meat), followed by a mushroom risotto and followed by a lime and ginger cheesecake. We started with a nice Cabernet/Shiraz while we looked at the menu and continued with it through the entire meal.

I really enjoyed everything, and I think we both had the same choice apart from the main course when I. had turkey.

The risotto was particularly good, having just the right degree of moistness, plenty of mushrooms and topped by shavings of Parmesan. The cheesecake was excellent. I had been worried that it might contain too much ginger, but it was just a hint.

It is always good to be a passenger in a car where the gentleman comes round and opens the door for you and offers you his arm.

When we arrived back "at the ranch" there was a group of ladies in the residents lounge having tea and biscuits, They all took notice of my friend, and I shall keep them guessing.....

Toy boys always count! The two intriguing boxes - one for TBSITW for Christmas - but the other....? No indication that it had to be kept for Christmas. Interesting.

I just love to keep people guessing. I always said that I kept a blameless life, but that I would hate people to know it!

Should be we looking for hats? Oh no.. its the mother of the bride that wears a hat, not the daughter in law hahahah!

I'm going to phone you up and find out who this mystery Boy Toy/Toy boy is :-)

Definitely no hats, or posh frocks either.

I am just enjoying keeping my cards close to my chest.

....and I'm not telling, but I know the mystery guest very well too.
