Another Wash....

After Church, I went to do two washing loads. When I got down to the laundry room, there was one tumble dryer in use, but no washing machine. I loaded my dark wash into my favourite machine and was very tempted to load the bedclothes into a different one as the place was so quiet.

Just as well I didn’t as within very short order the rest of the machines were in use and my second wash was sitting all very smug in front of the first.

By the time my first wash was washed and into the drier, my second wash was ready to go into the washing mashing and by the time the second wash was finished, the first wash was dry, so I put it into the drier and just over an hour later it was all dry and put away.

Why then did I feel as though I had been run over by a truck?

I had a nice phone call from elder son on Friday. Sadly he is again nursing a bout of bronchitis. I hope to see him and all the family some time over the festive season.

Run over by a truck? Rather random feeling to experience whilst doing your laundry, isn't it? Are you sure you weren't doing other stressful activities (i.e. uhm, reading the drivel that is my blog) at the time? Take care!

And re what you wrote on my blog: LOL you're absolutely right, I won the Laziest Person On Planet Pageant and was away for a year. Am going to try to keep at it this time though - thanks for the encouragement! :)

To The Angry Medic:

When you reach the "old and crumblie" stage in life, it takes less to make us feel as though we had been run over by a truck than it does for you youngsters.

Mind you after 3 days and nights without sleep, especially if you went to the pub afterwards to celebrate, you might come close to the same feeling.

Except that this morning I feel fresh as a daisy and have no thumping headache and no feeling of nausea.

;-p
