Yesterday evening saw the end of a group of teaching sessions forming a bridge (pun intended) betwen the last Monday afternoons and the next ones which start on 22 September. My partner has calmed down enough to agree to return to next Monday's play and the man who has taken the recent Friday evenings is going to turn up too. He (B.) is totally relaxed and also a good teacher. I have a very high opinion of him.
"Our leader", S thinks she is a good teacher and is certainly enthusiastic about the game but is not, in fact a good teacher. I am sure she would be horrified to know that; she is so enthusiastic, but does not recognise that there is a limit to how much new information can be taken on board on one session.
Today has been a very lazy day, which I think was rather badly needed.
