It is a lovely day today and when my cleaners were leaving they asked me what I was going to do today. So I decided that I would order a taxi and went to M and S. I had lunch there and bought one or two things before returning home in a taxi. It is such a long time since I have been to the shopping centre because the whole town centre was a mess with the bus station being closed and bus stances moved to the High Street.
At any rate I enjoyed myself and have haddock and chips organised for my supper served with purple sprouting broccoli.

Have had some lovely Scottish friends over the years but no Glaswegians-hence the difficulty ! Enjoy reading your blog and have made a note of book recommendations as I am always on the look out for something new.
I heard Liz Smith interviewed on the radio the other day and am now looking for her autobiography as well.
Dear BarbaraI do hope you are not under the misapprehension that mum is a Weegie (=Glaswegian). From her origins, I would take that to be a gross insult! But thank you for your comments, I know mum loves receiving blog responses.LoveElder Son
