This morning I felt as though I had been run over by a road roller (okay, I used to know them as steam rollers in the dim and distant past). My mother always told me that the first word I said was "steamoally", so I am having my comeuppance. I did manage to go to class this morning and on to the hairdresser - where the most important piece of shopping was a bottle or two of Noilly Prat; it cannot be obtained in this town.
I did feel better getting my hair washed and my scalp massaged (not to mention the slight application of colour)
So here I am back home and I have had a lovely roll opened, buttered and liberally covered with two of the special cheeses I bought when visiting elder son, I also had some quince jelly with it.
Yummy.
My head still feels full of cotton wool, and I am glad this is not a bridge day; in fact the challenge is going to be to stay up until near enough to a civilised bedtime!

It was so hot here today that Bear and I are both feeling like cotton wool dispensers... we had considered asking the tenants over for a board game (our latest craze), but we're just too pooped to pop!
Guess it'll have to be iced tea and homemade salsa with tortilla chips out on the patio, instead.
*grin*

Your alternative certainly sounds good!
I'm still loking for like minds as a new Blogger. Having read your entry of today, particularly the part about colouring the hair. I've decided to invite you to look at my Blog. It's a daily journal both silly and serious written in verse. I'm an Australian grandmother, by the way.
My Blog is called Rinkly Rimes

Looking forward to meeting you.
What colour hair today, Elaine? Copper coloured? (I'm just trying to picture it!)
Must send money to cover the cost of those two medicinal bottles!!
Keep mentioning them.. will do it soon :-)
Colour definitely not a blue rinse - unlike our mother, bless her, in her 60s in the 60s.
Colour very like my real colour before I started to grow grey and then white. A very light brown, definitely not blond.
It is so subtle that people comment on how nice my hair is looking, without noticing the colour.
This is just the effect I wanted.
