.....and The Bad News.
I heard today from the factors that the insurance company is prepared to meet the claim for a new hob to replace the damaged one.
However, they are imposing an excess of £250.
Ouch!
However, I have no option but to bite the bullet on this one.
On a brighter note, when The Best Sister In The World came yesterday, I happened to show her the new watch I had bought to replace my clapped out one. I don't like to wear my good watch all the time as it would get scratched and probably get water in.
As I pulled up my sleeve to show her, she pulled up her sleeve too....
... to show an identical watch!
We had both chosen the man's version of the original black Swatch watch. It is so good, because the figures are clear enough to see the time, and there is a 'magnifier' over the day/date function so that elderly eyes can read them.
"Sisters, Sisters, never were there such devoted sisters" as the song had it.

only one thing to say about that excess on your insurance..
::Ouch::
"God help the mister that comes between me and my sister, and God help the sister that comes between me and my man!"
Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen (and Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye), in "White Christmas", 1954.
Ah, dem was da good old days!
Ah, Marcheline, I know most of the song - and my sister and I have sung it quite often (if this is done in public, it frightens the natives!
I remembered it was Rosemary Clooney, was sure it was White Christmas, but had forgotten Vera-Ellen.
