Well, it duly arrived today (well done TNT, 24 hour delivery and on a Saturday too). All unpacked and put together.
I am still somewhat (read VERY) sore from the furniture moving antics, so, after a quick trial to see that it worked - which it does - I am leaving the exercises till tomorrow.
Received an email this morning which I almost deleted. I have been receiving quite a number of spam emails from various (and often spurious) companies, many of which try to look as though they are from ASDA, Tesco and the like, but on closer inspection are not from them at all.
Glad I didn't this time as it turned to be an Amazon gift voucher from younger son and daughter in law.
So I logged on to Amazon and ordered 3 super books from my wish list - all for the net price of £2.45! Smashing.....

Well done you! Glad you were able to exchange and impressed they were so prompt! I have managed 5 swims this week - 3 of 50 lengths 1 of 60 and only 40 this morning as the boys came with me. Feeling pretty chuffed with myself :-)Did check about the handrail and steps and it looks like it would be perfect for you if you felt like coming along with me sometime? Lots of love xxx
to daughter
well done you.
I'll have to think about this swimming lark..........
Glad you did not delete the email.. happy to know you used the voucher so quickly.. its nice to surprise you now and then!
Burning with curiosity... what were the books then? and let us know if they lived up to your expectations when you get to finally read them.
The books were:
Revelation (the 4th Matthew Shardlake novel) by CJ Sansome
I really enjoyed the first three books (detective work in the time of Henry VIII and the dissolution of the monasteries)
Playing for Pizza by John Grisham
His books are always a good read. I don't keep them but pass them on round the family, then eventually they go to a charity shop.
The Miracle at Speedy Motors by Alexander McCall Smith
The latest in the series of gentle tales of the No 1 Ladies Detective Agency. I expect them to live up to the standard of the previous ones in this series.
